RACCOON also spelled RACOON - - An adaptable feeder, raccoons will eat almost anything - fish, mice, insects, stolen eggs, and human trash. Raccoons sometimes "wash" their food, rapidly dunking it in water before eating.
This past week...Miss Jennifer was driving home and spotted a huge RACCOON on the side of the road that looked like he had eaten everything he possibly could have fit into his tummy that day. I decided that it would be fun to create a RACCOON MASK so we could talk about Raccoon's and what they like to eat, where the live, etc... Above are a few of the completed masks that were created. Fall is a wonderful time to talk about nature and to explore the great outdoors. These fun RACCOON MASKS would tie in nicely with any lesson based on animals in the wilderness.
The template that I created is above. For the WHITE EYES...I used a one inch paper punch. It was much easier using the paper punch vs. trying to cut out a perfect circle. Plus, kids love using them too! We also glued on some wiggle eyes to make our Raccoons come to life.
